In Rhythmic Gymnastics you will grow in several areas.

Dance.

All professional gymnasts are expected to perform 6 routines. Each routine has different music and style, where variety can involve classic and modern genres. Dancing steps are required in any rhythmic gymnastics routine. Depending on the music chosen for your daughter, she will learn polka steps, tango, modern dance, etc.

Ballet.

Ballet and Rhythmic Gymnastics always blend together. Ballet assists with the development of effective posture and body lines, which bring elegance to Rhythmic Gymnastics. As a part of their training, every professional gymnast involves ballet as a regular part of their training.

Acting skills.

During performances, gymnasts must demonstrate not only difficult gymnastic elements, but also express emotion through the music. This is often referred to as "telling a story” through their movements.

Musical ear.

Rhythmic Gymnastics helps to develop a great musical ear and an appreciation for musical composition. The often subtle aspects of music that may be missed to an untrained ear are identified by gymnasts in order to assist in the overall effectiveness of their routine. Furthermore, it is a requirement that routines fluidly match the musical choice chosen for a gymnast’s routine.

Imagination and improvisation.

Over time and with dedicated practice, gymnasts develop their creative personality, which helps to bring individual style to their performance. Indeed, some gymnasts later become choreographers as a result of their experience.
